Thick mists gave way to the late morning sun near the summit of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.  For a week volunteers restored trail markers and low stone walls to help hikers stay on the path and protect the sensitive alpine vegetation.  The hard work was fun, fostered new friendships and distilled for me a firm belief: our lives and the environment are interconnected, and active participation can help.

Public lectures and time outdoors inspired the start of a career in architecture, stewardship, and responsible design.  Through practice and continuing education, I have learned from mentors and colleagues how careful listening, research and thoughtful interventions can improve life for individuals, communities and our planet.  As a registered architect, I have the opportunity and responsibility to carry that mission further.

Ours is a collaborative profession; let’s make something special together.
